The Edmonton Oilers are in 3rd place in the All Canadian North division. The Oilers are just one point back of 2nd place Winnipeg and five points back of first place Toronto. The Oilers have also won two straight games and are 6-2-2 over their last 10 games. The Montreal Canadiens are holding onto that 4th and final playoff spot in the North. The Canadiens have 47 points and lead fifth place Calgary by six points. They trail third place Edmonton by nine points. Not a lot for the Canadiens to play for here as they looks solidly in fourth place. However, the Oilers can climb into 2nd tonight and inch closer to that top spot in the North with a win here. The 4th Place Denver Nuggets play tonight at 6th place Portland Trailblazers. The Blazers hold onto that last playoff spot, just 1 1/2 games ahead of 7th place Dallas and 1 1/2 games back of 5th place Lakers. The Nuggets coming off three straight overs where they scored 123, 128 and 139 points. The Blazers had to play last night against the Clippers, losing by just one point, 112-113 and going over the 221 total. The Blazer home games have averaged 227.8 ppg this season. Both these teams will be missing some key players but I don't see that stopping the scoring here. I'm playing OVER.

Atlanta Hawks coming off a home game last night have to travel for their 2nd of a back-to-back spot here tonight at the Knicks. The Hawks have the fourth spot in the East playoff picture while the Knicks hold the 5th spot. New York is just a 1/2 game back of the Hawks. The Hawks have won two straight and five of their last six while the Knicks are 7-0 their last seven and 10-0 ATS their last 10. I like the rested Knicks here against a tired Atlanta team with third place on the line. Play New York.

The Brooklyn Nets are 39-19 after winning last night at New Orleans, 134-129. The Nets have not won back-to-back games since April 7/8. Since then they have alternated win/loss. Now they have to play the 2nd of a back to back spot vs the Raptors. Toronto is just 24-34 on the season. The have won and covered their last three games, all at home in Florida. Toronto is 1/2 game back of 10th place and a play-in spot to the playoffs. The Nets are in 2nd place in the East and just 1/2 game back of the Sixers. I'll go against the Nets in their 2nd of a back to back spot here tonight and go with the desperate Raptors looking for just a chance. Play Toronto.

The Minnesota Twins look to snap a 3-game losing streak here today at Oakland. The Twins have dropped to 6-10 on the season. They will start Kenta Maeda today who has three starts and a 1-1 record. Maeda has a 3.07 ERA and 1.705 WHIP. The A's are red hot, winning 10 straight games to improve to 11-7 on the season. Frankie Monta will start for the A's. Monta has a 2-1 record after three starts with a 4.91 ERA and 1.363 ERA. I will take the hot A's here tonight. Play Oakland.

The Giants beat the Phillies on Tuesday to improve to 11-6 on the season. The Giants have also been a great under team this year with 12 of their 17 games going UNDER. That is in big part to an excellent pitching staff that has allowed just 2.9 runs per game. Anthony Desclafani has three starts for the Giants with a nifty 1.06 ERA and 1.059 WHIP. He's allowed just two earned runs over his last 17 innings. The Phillies dropped to 8-9 with their loss on Tuesday. The Phils send Zach Eflin to the hill today. Eflin has three starts and is 1-0 with a 3.15 ERA and 0.950 WHIP. I like this game to go under here early on Wednesday. Take UNDER.  

 Golden State looks to stay above the .500 mark tonight as they play at Washington. The Warriors are 5-1 S/U and ATS in their last six games. However, always tougher on the West teams playing these road trips to the East and this is game number five on the road for the Warriors. The Washington Wizards are just 24-33 on the season. However, they have been playing very well of late winning five in a row and seven of their last eight. They are also 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games. Washington is close to those 7-10 slots that are NBA play-in games for the playoffs. Right now they are in contention with the Bulls as both teams have identical 24-33 records. Golden State has the 9th spot and that's one of those play-in positions. They they should hold a top 10 slot since their closest team to knock them out are the Pelicans who are four games back. I like the Wizards as this long Eastern road trip starts taking its toll on the Warriors. Play Washington.
